Paolo Uccello, Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Donatello, Botticelli, Leonardo, Beato Angelico, Cellini, Giotto, Masaccio... this is Florence.
A Florence and a Florentine spirit that the images and anecdotes told in this book bring close to anyone.

Four colors – green, red, blue and white – for four neighborhoods.
A symbol, the Lily, red. The purple - of ancient memory - for those who have football faith. The iris, in its variety of Iris Fiorentina, delicately white. And then, the green streaks of the Serpentine of Prato. And again, Rosso Fiorentino, famous for its shade of red, and the Della Robbias, easily recognizable with their colorful terracottas dominated by the splendid blue. It seems strange but in the city of the Renaissance, where the rigorous gray of pietra serena reigns, colors are very important. Not convinced? Try to isolate the colors of Botticelli's Venus, their vividness will surprise you.

Massimo Borchi
Florentine, in the soul first of all. Born in 1962, professional since 1987, in 1991 he founded the photographic agency Atlantide Phototravel. Lately he spends his time photographing megalopolises around the world, and then always returns to his "nest". The Renaissance symmetry of pietra serena alternates the smog and contemporary architecture. To the subways with a very complicated layout, the quiet Florentine tramway.

Victoria Brancato
She was born in Florence in 1990. She graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Siena, where she now carries out a PhD in Romance Philology and studies thirteenth-century Italian poetry. Set aside Guittone d'Arezzo, his second personality somatizes the football results of Fiorentina, which he sometimes enjoys talking about on the radio. He collaborated with the CONTRORADIO radio station in Florence.
