The Colosseum. Almost everyone believes that the name by which the Flavian Amphitheater is known derives from its exceptional dimensions 189 x 156 meters. 48 meters high with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. In reality it seems to relate to the nearby bronze statue of Nero. A colossus then destroyed over time.
