Prestigious international recognition for "Sicilian Cocktails" , the book by Alessandra Dammone and published by SIME BOOKS , which was awarded as Best Spirits Book in the World at the Gourmand Awards , as part of the World Food Summit in Cascais (Portugal) .
The announcement was officially made on stage at the Estoril Congress Centre by Edouard Cointreau , President and Founder of the Gourmand Awards, who praised the work for its cultural and narrative depth:

Founded in 1995, the Gourmand Awards are the only international competition dedicated to publications that chronicle food and drink cultures, with over 200 participating countries . The competition is free and open to all languages.
